Upgrading and expanding the nation’s transportation infrastructure – i.e. Roads, airports, railways, transit systems, water ports and maintenance facilities – is a key part of Project Management Associates' practice.

Our transportation professionals are ready to provide multimodal solutions to challenges and mandates faced by state agencies and local authorities, as well as municipalities and developers. We stay abreast of legislation affecting funding and eligibility guidelines. We excel in helping our clients achieve public consensus on complex, controversial projects.

Project Management Associates provides planning, design, and construction management services for municipal and rural streets, bridges, traffic signals, and roadway lighting. Services for route surveying include locating utilities, roads, streams, man-made features, boundary lines, and topographical information necessary to prepare construction plans, easements, and right-of-way maps.

Field functions are automated using GPS and Total Stations Systems with data collectors that are downloaded and uploaded directly from state of the art civil engineering design programs.
Office functions include deed research, preparation of easement descriptions and exhibits, and utility research. We work with appraisers, realtors and lawyers in the acquisition process; prepare right-of-way maps and the corresponding legal descriptions; and obtain rights of entry.

We specialize in reconstruction and new alignment projects. With in-house urban and rural design and landscape architecture, we enhance projects with aesthetic treatments that meet the needs of the surrounding neighborhoods.

Whether it is a major investment study through a dense urban development, rural feeder road or preparation of an Environmental or Social Impact Statement, our familiarity with the processes, deliverables and public involvement required for regulatory compliance enables us to successfully complete the most complex projects. Our full-service engineering and environmental strengths are further enhanced by our in-house geographic information systems and other state-of-the-art computerized rendering and mapping capabilities.

As a full-service firm, Project Management Associates has experience in every phase of highway and bridge projects from corridor studies to construction management.
